The Summers County Huddle is committed to caring for the earth, and to that end we have organized Earth Day celebrations beginning in 2017. Last year, due to Covid-19, we chose to cancel our event, but we'll be back in a limited way this year.

We distributed reusable shopping bags on Earth Day. Each bag was filled with eco-friendly products and information on how each one of us can make small changes to restore the earth. The Huddle has adopted a stretch of highway in Hinton (from Pizza Hut to Save-a-Lot) where we pick up litter throughout the year. We are currently working with local businesses to reduce plastic waste.
